Firefighters and rescue personnel around the country put their lives on the line every day for our communities. It is the mission of the Feed the Firefighters Foundation to provide Emergency Food Service to these people and to help the community become aware of the tremendous services these people provide. FTF was founded as a "not for profit" foundation after Barry's Café was called upon to provide Emergency Food Service to firefighters and rescue personnel during the ice storm of 1994. Since 1998 the Foundation has provided its service to all fire departments in Wake County. Emergency events require a lot of hours from these "Real Life Heroes" and it is the Foundation's honor and pleasure to supply them with food and drink, at no charge, to sustain them during these events.
